Laurie is a graduate of Melcher-Dallas Community Schools. She went on to Mercy College where she
received her Registered Nurse degree. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at Grandview
and her Master’s of Science and Nurse Practitioner degrees at Drake University. Laurie has worked in a
variety of areas including cardiology, medical-surgical, orthopedics, and internal medicine.
In 2006, Laurie opened her own practice in Melcher-Dallas. She is an independent provider, meaning she
is not affiliated with a particular provider or hospital. She provides the highest quality care to people of
all ages. In addition to the multiple services provided at the clinic, Laurie is able to order and interpret
testing, evaluate and treat a wide variety of conditions, refer patients to specialists when needed, and
consult with other providers when hospitalization is needed.
